A team of veterinarians conducted a postmortem examination of the carcass at the Dhela rescue centre on Wednesday. The procedure was conducted following the guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), in the presence of forest officials, wildlife experts and representatives of non-governmental organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Singh said biological samples needed for further examination were collected during the postmortem. These samples would be sent to the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly, and the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, for detailed analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe exact findings about the tiger\u2019s condition and the cause of its death will be known after the samples are examined and other required procedures are completed,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
